Images and conservation – The power of photography
People can tell you about climate change. People can tell you about environmental problems. Researchers can prove something is going wrong. But most of us will not realize all this until theyve seen it with their own eyes. Without photography no message. Photographer Jasper Doest will tell why conservation photography is so important in spreading a message.

Telling stories through your photographs
During this presentation Jasper Doest will show you through examples why he changed from a photographer in search of the single perfect image to a story telling photographer. He will give insights in the creative process of the creation of his work.

Bio
Award winning photographer Jasper Doest brings nature, anywhere in the world, closer. Close to him, close to others. He explains: I owe a lot to the natural world and photography is my way to give something back.

To him nothing beats sharing his passion: in lectures, in interviews, in workshops, but mostly through his photographs that convey a story. His work has received multiple awards; international journals and books, such as National Geographic Magazine and BBC Wildlife Magazine, are publishing his photographs and articles. He also created several travel and news features for National Geographic Traveler and national newspapers.

Jasper shows whats beautiful around him, around us, and with his pictures he reveals how fragile this beauty is. One split second can tell his story, that single moment in which he freezes nature but brings it to life more than ever before.
